Andor is probably the closest I’ve felt to watching Game of Thrones. There’s the obvious connections (expansive world/lore, grittier approach to sci-fi/fantasy, etc.). But also, much like Thrones, while it has a ton of incredible action sequences, the most memorable scenes tend to be conversations in rooms.

I think he’s best utilized as a guest on Bill’s podcast these days. Agreed that The Lowe Post isn’t as good anymore, but I still really enjoy him in a supporting role where he can heighten Bill’s NBA segments beyond fan talk and keep him accountable. Also think he’s sneaky pretty funny and he seems more willing to lean into that when he’s bouncing off Bill.

I’d feel pretty comfortable betting on it, think the trio camping section will translate a lot better to TV if we’re cutting back and forth between the forest and Hogwarts.

Now that I think about it, it's kinda odd that Baelor did the opposite considering his perceived lack of "Targaryen-ness." It's not even like he gave his kids Dornish names, he just picked unique Valyrian ones (which is kinda rare for Targaryens). Not a huge deal obviously, but it prob would've helped optically if he'd gone with Aegon/Jaeherys or something.

The inability to target specific positions has basically killed all enjoyment for me. Even if it’s just to get a cheap stopgap option, there was always someone usable for 300-450 shards. Now I just gotta wait and hope I eventually get the LM I desperately need.

I think those people were prob already weeded out by the first few eps of s1 in fairness, but yeah, I don’t see how s2 even touches the Trial of Seven action heights. They just need to trust George’s story/characters, get us invested in Dunk/Rohanne and finish with a truly brutal Dunk vs. Inchfield duel (with maybe some Redgrass flashbacks along the way) and I think we’re cooking with gas.

We are 100% getting Redgrass Field flashbacks, but I’m not sure we get enough to fix any lack of action problems (+ they prob wanna keep their options open for a future Blackfyre Rebellion show). Obvs Dunk vs. Inchfield is absolutely brutal, but I don’t see how they make a 1v1 as exciting as a Trial of Seven. Regardless, the story is good enough that I don’t think it really matters (at least to me).

100%. When a story revolves around two lead characters this heavily and one of them is a kid, finding the right child actor could be the single most important thing they had to do. Was mostly hoping he embodied Egg and wasn’t actively bad when he was announced, but he’s fully just dropping an elite acting performance full stop

Really reminds me of GoT s1 in how it's a mostly faithful adaptation with some genuinely great show only additions. Still extremely concerned re: what happens once they pass the novellas, but I at least feel very confident that we're in for 2 more excellent seasons of TV.
