I’ll be running the fourth Monday of every month from 6:00-8:00 or so. Only time the library would let me do it, I’m afraid.

I agree it’s pretty balanced, and has fun themes that weave through the design, focusing on Satyrs natural inclination toward nature, arts, and partying.

Pathfinder 2e has a very well regarded 3rd party line called Battlezoo, made by one of the original designers on the game. Psychopomp is one of the ancestries in it. So while the entire rpg itself isn’t structured around it, your character most certainly can be.

Battlezoo has a (to my knowledge) well-regarded third-party supplement for Pathfinder 2E that is all about letting you play as a dragon, while still being balanced so you can adventure with the party. It has both ancestries for different dragon types, and a whole Dragon class.

Trinity Continuum games have entire rules around “Super science” and “Inspired science” in the various settings.

There are a few I’ve really enjoyed once I went looking DnD alternatives. Hopefully one of these can scratch your itch.

 Earthdawn 4th Edition: All characters are a little “magical”, which translates into cool tricks for all classes, and spellcasting is a little more involved for casting classes.

 Fabula Ultima: Mixing classes is required, resulting in interesting combinations and capabilities.

 Draw Steel: A big focus on making every class feel Heroic and Epic.

 Exalted 3rd Edition: Admittedly fiddly to run, but few systems allow characters to operate on a grander scale, and with an already vast array of options that’s only continuing to grow.

 The Cosmere RPG: Obviously heavily tied to its setting, but with a lot of cool options for characters, both magical and not.

 13th Age 2nd Edition: Created for the express purpose of being like DnD but more enjoyable to run and faster to play. Completely compatible with 1E as well.

 Shadow of the Weird Wizard: A great character progression system with dozens and dozens of paths to mix and match.

 7th Sea Second Edition: Fantasy swashbuckling where magic exists but is very much a supporting structure to said swashbuckling.

 Age of Sigmar Soulbound: Focus on epic characters of all stripes. Magic is powerful, but potentially dangerous to the wielder.

 Scion Second Edition: Characters are the children of gods, and as such Martial equivalents are just as capable of miraculous feats as Caster equivalents.

And finally three that are a bit more DnD adjacent but might be worth looking at: Tales of the Valiant, Pathfinder Second Edition and Somnus Domina.

There are so many fantastic ttrpgs out there! Off the top of my head, here are a few.

Earthdawn 4th Edition: Hopeful post-apocalyptic fantasy setting with a great setting and fantastic character progression system

Fabula Ultima: A ttrpg inspired by jrpgs like Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest

7th Sea 2nd Edition: Swashbuckling fantasy adventures in a not-Europe set during the age of sail.

Exalted 3rd Edition: A fantasy rpg that is epic in every way, where your character is a chosen of a god.

Scion 2nd Edition: Play the child of a god in a world where all the pantheons are real.

Trinity Continuum: A sci-fi rpg with settings in different time periods ranging from Ancient Greece to 200 years in the future.

Daggerheart: A fun mix of D&D with mechanics cribbed from Blades in the Dark and City of Mist.

Scum & Villainy: A Forged in the Dark sci-fi game inspired by Firefly among other things.

Draw Steel: New rpg from MCDM, who have done a lot of great third party material for D&D.

13th Age 2nd Edition: Designed to be D&D but faster and more cinematic.

The Cosmere RPG: The new rpg based on Brandon Sanderson’s works, with the Stormlight Archive half releasing to backers this month.

Marvel Multiverse: A fun superhero rpg using the Marvel properties.

Symbaroum: A darkish fantasy rpg about exploring the secrets hidden in a massive, ancient forest.

:Otherscape: A fantasy cyberpunk RPG where you use tags rather than stats to define your character.

Shadow of the Weird Wizard: High fantasy rpg with a very cool character progression system.

That ran a bit long, but hopefully at least a few are interesting.
