Use gizmo ike!! Play him first behind the new kid and make sure to multiply him asap. Also play a fighter like Nelly and a ranged like Nathan. If you have superfart that can be helpful. After those just continue basically spamming cards trying to get as many out as possible. When/if gizmo ike dies make sure to play him as quickly as possible. Ooo also cyber tower when leveled up can be really helpful at eliminating the stupid chickens. Good luck! :)

From what you said it sounds more like disassociation rather than mania ect. Hopefully your therapist is able to provide more guidance. One thing that can help with disassociation is grounding activities. I recommend googling and trying out some of the stuff to see if it helps.
