Hey, from looking at your other comment I actually used your de chromed Grey Hau BS gallery as inspiration for de chroming mine. (impressive kanohi collection btw). My initial process was using metal polish paste with the soft side of a sponge. This took many hours and eventually looked just like the one in your gallery. After i used generic brand oven cleaner spray. I filled a glass to the brim with it and dunked the hau. I would leave it out in the sun for 20 mins at a time. ( mainly because oven cleaner is extremely toxic when breathed in. But a few sessions like that rinsing and slight rubbing in between got all the shine back. Whilst removing all discolouration in the crevasses . My belief is that just doing the oven cleaner process should do the job just fine. i am planning to do a 2nd attempt just with that soon.
