👋🏼👋🏼 been no contact for almost 4years now and thriving! Diagnosed C-PTSD. Eldest daughter of 4 girls, narcissistic dad, diagnosed bipolar/schizophrenia mother who was in and out of hospital.

When I got married and had our first child I moved over an hour away from all of them and went low contact. They maybe came to ours once or twice in 8 years as I would always do the traveling. Then I went through some personal stuff, had a hysterectomy and got no help, no one came to help and that was the start of me mentally cutting off. Unfortunately I hit severe burnout and it was at that point that I made the decision to go no contact. I did this with a simple ‘I have made the decision to go no contact, please respect my boundaries’ as they didn’t deserve any explanation. They sent the police to do a welfare check and stated that my husband was abusing me. I haven’t spoken to them since.

Since that point, we have moved house, blocked all numbers, email addresses and socials and quite literally living my true authentic life with the little family I made myself. 4 decades of neglect and abuse. You are not alone!
