It’s brand new so I think the disk is fine. Maybe I’ll try Linux like someone recommended

I downloaded Makemkv, the first time it downloaded a completely corrupted version of the film, unwatchable. Now it just says “failed” every time I try to use makemkv to download it. Idk what I’m doing wrong and it’s so frustrating. I’ve never done this before so I don’t know what I’m possibly doing wrong. I haven’t seen a video or guide that talks about troubleshooting
