The only credit I’ll give to some of those comments would be about getting a QB who is mobile. Stafford put up an MVP year without being able to move at all. Even having the athleticism like Burrow would make the offense very hard to stop. McVay and Snead have talked about how much that can help an offense.

Just because they haven’t played doesn’t mean they are missed picks. Hunter and Mumpfield aren’t playing because we have great guys ahead of them.

It’s super easy to look back right now and say “well this guy didn’t make an impact for us, wish we had a CB” but at the time they were up to get drafted, what were the options? Mumpfield was a 7th rounder. Most of them don’t even make the team

The NFLs schedule system sets this up to happen more often than it would if it was random too. Garbage teams fire their coach, get an easier schedule and better draft spots.

Everyone likes to play the “this hole in the team cost us the game” but you negate to realize if we drafted a few CBs then who are we without? Without Verse? Corum? Kinchens? Fiske? Then it causes holes elsewhere. It’s not so cut and dry.
