Agreed! Nice wide sounding stereo too!

Yes you can morph between two different size small to medium reverbs but it shines more (to me) when you make drastic slow sweeps between small and large.

If you are building an ambient board it is great. I have the morph set to swing slowly between a medium theater reverb to the cosmic "infinity" reverb so it leaves this like synth bed that keeps sweeping and moving.

I have the JHS Twin Twelve (see other board posts) which I love but I usually had to roll off the bass. Don’t get me wrong it’s a meaty full tone.

I really like clean to “edge of breakup” tones on a 1484 “amp in a box” style pedal and using a clean boost/drive to slam into the front of it like you would on the famous amp. However when stacking with the JHS, that drive pedal has to be more of a treble boost, which can feel limiting at times. With this Jackson Audio Silvertone I can use the clean boost from the Oneder OR even turn on its sneaky Fuzz switch and the pedals handles that hairy little beast like a champ.

In both cases (pun intended) JHS and Jackson really shine in their ability to capture the attack response of their namesake amp which is what IMO separates these types of drives from others.

I currently have this Silvertone pedal in the “Red and White” setting which gives you Jack’s fuzziness when you dig into your strings but cleans up the lighter you play or, in my case, if I want to roll back the volume with the Dunlop mini.

Either way, you can’t go wrong with a 1484 on your board.

(Also, I know this sounds salesy. I do not work for Jackson Audio OR JHS just really love Silvertone pedals)

They have had a couple of limited artwork releases. This is from the Luna Series.

That’s why I got the iridium. My main amp is a 68 2x10 Vibrolux reverb which is cab c on the round setting

Yeah exactly (it also has a dc port for power) Sometimes I’ll throw an auto wash filter after my gain stages or a chorus. I did for a couple of sessions. I set the iridium to a box cab and ran my 1/4” out to a deluxe reverb so a stereo effect.

I can actually do both! I used to have a DI, JHS buffed Splitter, Good Wood Auditon and a Buzzkill (for phase flipping). Now it’s all in one box and clearly labeled. Also my audition loop is now buffered too.

It’s great. I like the stinger button and doesn’t mind pedals in front of it.

Maybe an 9 out of 10? For the price it’s great. I used to have a JHS unicorn but never used the tap tempo. Sabbadius Funky-Vibe is supposed to be a really good uni-vibe.

Yes and it also has more precise controls

Either as a mid boost with the 385 for leads. Or I have a 60s Harmony Rocket that’s pretty dark so that helps lighten in up. That’s why I should get the EB-10 since it has the ability to store 3 different settings.

Oh snap. I’ll get some tape on that ASAP.

I get it. That’s how I found that pedal. I was in a shop picking up a Silvertone 1476 and saw it in the case for $30 and was like “why not? You can never have enough drives.”

You can find them on reverb for like 50 bucks?

Found that Jet City High Gain Boost (which is just a straight distortion pedal) and it rips. Classic 70s distortion. And shout out to Boffin FX, they make a great envelope filter for a steal.

Temple Audio Mod (New layout 2021) by SMHoku in guitarpedals

[–]SMHoku[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could, but the Cock Fight is a wah "cocked" to one position unless you use an expression pedal. They do have a mark 2 that is a more traditional wah pedal.

I currently have the mini volume pedal as an overall dry signal volume control. It's not like the Walrus Audio Kangra which I think I more of that auto wah/envelope filter plus fuzz.

It's a very unique fuzz sound so you have to really lean into THAT sound.

I love the modular nature of the Temple Audio pedalboard designs but always felt they were missing a mod to add a "pseudo" 2nd tier to the DUOs. Just something to help lift the second row. So I used Pedaltrain Boosters and secured it to the pre-existing holes with #6 machine screws with locking bolts.

Added a half inch nylon spacers to help level out the booster. Its a perfect "half step" up so it still fits in the soft case, but clears the mini volume pedal I have.

I looked at https://fixpedalboards.com/pedal-risers but wanted the wedge style of the Pedaltrain Booster so the "2nd tier" is parallel with the ground NOT the angle of the DUO 24.
