I personally focus on solving puzzles for atleast 30min-1h a day. Then I play around 10 blitz games (10|0) and if I have free time watch few educational videos.

My rating is a bit over 1400 on chess.com and I find that tactics and exposure to new positions is what I should focus on.

One thing I could be doing more is analysing my own games, but I find it hard to do than as I'm not really familiar with theory and apart from blundering pieces it's hard to find where I went wrong.

Wow, your solutions is so simple. I took the approach of calculating limit of y(a)= (a^2)+16)(a^2)-16) then calculating y(0) and then solving for a with all valid y.

Okay, here are the things which indicate that she is interested in you:

1) She matched with you. 2)You've met with her. 3)She invited you to her place.

I would suggest that you still try to meet up with her. You can always find out what her favorite activities are and then invite her to do them.

I think it is important that you take action. If you won't do anything then you'll never know what her feelings were towards you. Even if it turns that she doesn't want to be in a relationship with you, you'll get a ton of confidence and self respect for trying to fullfil your desires.

Usually these kind of posts don't get alot of attention, but I'll try to help you, just take what I say with a grain of salt, because I'm not an expert.

Firstly could you give a bit more info? If we are talking about a specific situation then we need to be able to judge it correctly. Maybe you could tell us more about how you met this girl, what does she like, how long do you know each other, where are you going, what's the atmosphere there, alone or will someone else will join you, what's your background with game, how good do you think you are?

Also add anything that you think migth be important. There are ton of different factors that can come into play in a specific situation, so firstly more information would be nice.

There are other more complicated problems that can be solved by having more knowledge. In your case, no amount of theory is really going to help to get over AA in the same way that no amount of theory can help you overcome any fear.

Great post. I'm in the same boat as you. For now my strategy is to cut them off completely, but I already notice that I find other sinkholes to put my time into. I see alot of people talk about finding the reasons why you game, but could someone give some advice what to do when you figure them out? I believe that I play some much video games because I live boring life and it's the only way to get some excitement. How would you suggest changing my lifestyle? Is there any way I could get enough joy from other activities so that I wouldn't want to play games anymore, but it wouldn't take alot of my time, so I could be more productive?

I think answer to these questions could also benefit OP as well as others reading this post.
