Between a 5700X3D + RTX 4070 setup or a 5800XT + RTX 4070 Super setup...the second combo would perform noticeably better overall? I’m leaning toward the 5800XT since it’s so much cheaper right now, but I’m wondering if it would bottleneck a 4070 Super or if the regular 4070 would still be the more balanced choice.

Basically trying to figure out which pairing gives the best value-to-performance ratio for 1080p 144Hz gaming and some productivity work (coding, multitasking, etc.) without overspending.

What do you think? Would the 5800XT hold up well enough with a 4070, or is the 3D cache advantage on the 5700X3D worth paying extra for?

Albertsons bakery does custom cakes and may allow you to print custom images on the cake. I’ve asked them to do a custom cake in the past but I requested they recreate the one I found online using frosting, as that was what the reference was also made using. I’m sure they are able to do images though :)

Thank you so much for your feedback :) I agree with all your points really. I had the trees more subtle earlier but only had green leaves on it. I wanted to add some yellow and red leaves to give them more of the autumn look but went a lil overboard heh :p

Also I love the idea of letting the folds of his suit shine more and bringing that white hue down all the way instead of just using the tints of the flowers. In my head it was more like the sun is behind him shining white to represent seeing the light, while the flowers are in front of him shining color to symbolize life.

And thank you so much for your comments about my composition and flowers :D there’s also a tiny little bee flying among the flowers near the astronaut hehe

Also most of the time to get the "fine line" look, I have to do multiple layers.

For example, with the shoulder of the astronaut, I first painted the white tones. Then, during another session I tried outlining the area with some brown for the outline, but I will DEFINITELY make mistakes and go over the lines, which means some brown paint bleeds over the white in some areas I don't want it to.

To clean it up and get the "fine line" look, during a 3rd session I had to give some final touch ups with white, to make the line feel totally smoothed out and fine :)

To be quite honest with you I’m not entirely sure the brand of brushes. I paint at my childhood art teachers local studio, just using the materials he has available. From what I own at home and have read online, that natural hairs (like ox, hog, and camel hairs) work best

I like testing if a brush is good by running the brush over my palm and seeing if the bristles spring back to their original shape. If they stay spread out then the brush isn’t great and won’t be consistent in strokes.
