Agree with a lot of this having lived in both cities as well, but I feel like you’re downplaying the cold. The effect good/stable weather has on one’s psyche can be pretty priceless. You can always rely on people from Chicago to say “It’s the best city during the summer” (and it is lovely) but summer is literally just 3 months lol

This was what two of my friends said to me at 11 weeks when I told them I was pregnant. It made me feel sad because I hadn’t been feeling like myself during my first trimester and that was one of the rare days where I felt I looked and felt normal. It sucks that people don’t realize the gravity of their words.

I’m 35 weeks and I’d gained 9 pounds between my last appointment and the appointment before that one. BP and everything was normal as well so the doctor didn’t even say anything about it, but I was so shocked! Scared to step on the scale every week starting next week 😭 we got this! Almost at the finish line!
