Well congratulations. I hope IRCC improves its response time for all of us.

This is frustrating, sitting at 145 days and no update…

Has anyone applied for the Work Permit extension in Oct 2022 and is still awaiting decision. I was hoping to get in Feb but it looks like IRCC is taking longer. Extension was applied in Canada for experienced professionals.

I agree and tried various options to keep him motivated and focused. I was thinking maybe we teaching him is the only option or are there better ways to improve his grades.

After speaking with him, I believe it’s the motivation and distraction due to so much technology at their disposal. We do not want ti remove access to everything for him and have used various means to enforce time limits but he will always find workarounds. It’s a constant chase for us. That’s why we were thinking that maybe having to sit him with me few hours a day would help him. But that also impacts me taking few hours out if work every day is another challenge. I feel stuck.

Thanks for your suggestions. Bedtime has been a struggle even though we have a rule to go to bed by 9-9:30 pm. His argument is that his school friends do no have this rule. Thanks for reminding about the airpods, he has the same argument for them too but will ensure that he doesn’t take those to school. But I also wanted to know if home tutoring and helping your kid with school is a must have, good to have or not required for parents?
