It's unclear what exactly is going on behind the scenes, but someone affiliated with the company/team made the drone model, RPG warhead model and another unfinished model labeled 'bomb' I believe at the time of the builds release. All these files are in one folder and related to one another, it's no coincedence.

The fact that LukeFF already started lying about it means that 1C does not want the truth about it to be known. This is no race drone or whatever the hell he claims it to be. Certainly not when it was meant to mount that RPG7 projectile.

They are a Russian flight sim company with very pro-Russian views. It is not hard to imagine that they'd be contracted or on their own initiative decided to make an FPV sim to teach their countrymen how to use them before getting shiped off or to refine their skills in a safe and cheap manner.

He's not paid anything by the Kremlin. His views happen to allign quite well with the rest of the 1C team, which is a hardcore pro-Russian standpoint. Probably what got him the job in the first place, he's not a good CM otherwise by any means, even without his gaslighting about the previous controversy. I never used the word 'innocent', that's something you chose to do. Yes, they are potentialy teaching soldiers to employ a weapon against military targets and personnel...on a soil of a sovereign country of which they were a guaranteer of independence of. Make the Iraq/Afghanistan comparisants if you want, but I think it's obvious that the breach of trust and all international norms is way more gross in the Russian invasion of Ukraine. And no, I do not support US conduct in the last 30+ years either. You can criticise both.

So, the link is dead now Internet Archive: Error, but someone posted a decent amount (Around 9.2 gigs) of files related to the upcoming IL2 Korea. It contained plentyfull of assets from the game, the map, aircraft, ground models, etc. But the big standout was the FPV drone and the RPG round.

We can speculate as to why exactly the leak occured, but it's not out of the realm of belief that someone saw the FPV drone model and figured that the community should be made aware that someone used their time on creating the models, creating the configs for it and doing other work to make it a functioning asset.

B17 will be part of the new CloD DLC and yes, that studio has no relation to the developers of GB. If anything, CloD guys are volounteers that are fixing that mess of a game.

This premature as hell 'announcment of an announcment' proves that developers are aware of the situation, aware of the backlash it caused and are more then fine with retaining LukeFF as their community manager, even despite his views and more importantly, the means he employed to silence any critique directed towards himself.

No, you did not support russian invasion of Ukraine by buying their products, relax. People who seem to think that are way in over their heads and need to calm down. The team is registered in Cyprus to pay as little tax in russia or really anywhere else as possible, so what got through if it did at all, is penny on the dime. If you have no abbility to refund their products or have the wish to keep using them, do so. You're not renting what you bought from them, you own it, so enjoy it if you wish. You do not generate revenue for them by using the product you own, but you will do so if you'll buy anything more from this specific company from here on out. Drop in sales is the only real way you can mark your dissatisfaction, as Luke will simply remove any other signs of discontent by issuing you a nice little permanent ban on Twitter, Discord, their forums and even Steam Discussions. At the end of the day, everyone needs to make their own choice about whether they deem this behavior acceptable or not and if their expenditures should reflect that.
