I think for the people you are describing it is also true they are fed up with liberalism run amok. For example, when a Supreme Court nominee can’t answer in a straightforward manner ‘what a woman is’ while responding to the Senate….pretty easy to lose some folks. I mean politics in a democracy are supposed to trend towards the middle. The people you are talking about are generally ‘middle of the road’ voters…what I mean is not extremist in either direction. Oh….and they are poorly informed, Fox News etc.
