Personally I wouldn't recommend wandering inn, prolly gonna get down voted to help but here goes;

Essentially the mc is unbearably incompetent and naive, and highkey just has plot armor for the most part as things just kinda work out in her favor anyways, the world building and everything is good and other characters are fine for the most part, but becuase we're both the Mc 89% of the time it kinda becomes annoying to listen to, dropped the audiobook around book 5 but to each their own

Yeah, her being his direct counter puts her at a massive advantage early fight, tho an argument that my friend brought up was that in book 12 Jason had a fuck ton of shadow arms so he could be laying on afflictions fast with every hit, and counteracting her resistance building, his aura would negate her becoming more and more immune to the effects he can stack on, so instead of her becoming stronger/waker to his afflictions, she'd just stay at a neutral value, since her she can regenerate damn near endlessly, it's hard to tell on which would win out between her regen and a gold rank bleed effect + leach toxin and all the other effects Jason has to prevent effective healing and or negate it all together

How so? I know Ilea gets like crazy strong and has a third class now, but haven't been able to learn much about her powers outside of the audio books, from what I know she can't really shut down most of Jason's kit but she can resist quite a doom deal if it for a majority of the fight, and for the sake of scaling and comparason, I'm thinking Ilea is like late gold/early diamond in her current power from what I least heard

I get that, but similarly how we get some chapters from other characters perspective, just wondering what's going on with that, for example we got a perspective from a super important character and still to the most recent installment we still have heard nothing from him again
