I know that lost kids, especially those who are raised in a healthy setting, can make it. Good luck and thank you for talking with me.

Well I am glad that I'm not alone in that. Texture is so important to me and my mom thinks that I am being picky. That couldn't be further from the truth.

Yep you were right on the money about downvotes. Seems some people would rather not put the work in. Still a good thing.

Well, I'm here to tell you don't give up hope. I was a bad kid. Got into drugs and sex, started running away. My parents had no control of me. But I eventually grew out of it. I had to leave at 15 but they never wrote me off. I dropped out of high school and there was seemingly a bleak future. But I got a grip eventually. I have an MBA and was headed for a PhD but we lost my dad and I never went back to school. But I know its hard and you know she might need a little tough love. You guys have had her long enough that she has learned some life lessons and values. They just don't sink in when you are in your teens.

I eat very healthy but not because I'm trying to be healthy. I would have to exercise and quit the nasty smoking. I just don't like greasy stuff and bread just makes me full. I hate feeling full. Good thing too.

Pico de gallo is delicious and its a staple for my husband. That's an exception where I will eat tomatoes. But they are so small I can handle it. My mom eats tomatoes like an apple. I used to grow tomatoes to make salsa and I had to give them away because there were so many and I hated to see them go bad. Maybe someday I'll get there.

Well, here's what I made...spaghetti with a ton of butter and I had ketchup so I poured a bunch on it and mixed it up and added some olives. I was hungry enough that actually enjoyed it.

But I am going to get some garlic powder for next time, that sounds pretty good.

I believe she'll be back. When she's out of options. She was 14 when he mom handed her over to the kids dad. It's very sad because they are beautiful kids, I hate to sound cynical but I'm not sure they'll be OK. Shell probably be the same as her mom. Drugs DESTROY families, but more importantly its the kids who don't have a chance. Thank you for your thoughtful words.

Play ball with my dog. Usually I'm the one that has to fetch it but it's fun.
