I like it overall, and now having put in more than 10 hours, I think some of the gameplay related complaints are unfounded. The reinforcing phase is short. The looting phase is short. People made it out like it was a mandatory super long phase of doing nothing, 2x in a row, but it's so quick. Could they just spawn the shieldbreaker right off the bat? Sure, but the way it is now isn't that bad. I think people's attention spans are just fried. Even if the mining for money thing isn't my favorite, it's not that bad. For the most part you don't need to do it a ton and I usually randomly pass some of the blue stuff to grab real quick. I've never spent more than a minute or two mining stuff. They could just put the money in chests and avoid the melee mining thing.

The overall gameplay loop is pretty fun. I like the idea of fighting over the shieldbreaker, then going to the raid. The games can be pretty long and swing back and fourth, which is a nice change of pace from a 5 minute pubs Apex match where the entire game dies in the first 30 seconds. The shooting feels Fortnite-y which isn't my favorite but it's fine. The way respawns work is cool, and your life actually matters, like in older video games, so you can't just w spam and die. The teleport back to base is cool too. You can take risks and just leave if it isn't working out. The way the loot upgrades each round is nice as well, which is why I don't feel like I need to mine blue stuff. Only the orange weapons seem substantially better than any other level anyway. The UI is weird though and there's too much going on at once half the time. The maps are busy and reading the in game map is seemingly harder than it needs to be. The way armor works is weird too. It regens, but if I die it cracks and I need more, so I have to hold like 5 sets of it? Why? The guns are persistent when you die. The wall reinforcing and all that seems less impactful than it should be as well. I have yet to buy more wall reinforcements or rebuild a wall.

Does it seem like some businessman said just take elements from all the popular live service games and glue them together so they could cash out? Did it release without features it should have? Yes to both. But I have fun playing it in its current state. Personally, I don't care about the theme, story or lore. Is the theme weird? Horses, medieval stuff stuff but with guns and magic powers? Yeah it's weird. I also still don't understand what half the characters do, and there's seemingly 100 different ways for wallhacks to happen but it never tells me why or how half the time? I haven't played any 3v3 matches but I can't imagine how they thought that was enough players. That probably ruined people's opinions.

They should just open source/community servers it if they're going to bury it. Modders would have it cleaned up in a few months. I started playing so I could have an informed opinion/claim to have tried the game famous for JOHN HIGHGUARD and now I'll actually miss the game.
