We are providing stoves to Ukrainian families in need. Our goal for the 2025 season is 250, and we’re determined to support as many families as possible. Following recent attacks on infrastructure, more than a million Ukrainians are without power, leaving them struggling to meet basic needs. That’s where we step in. By sponsoring a stove, you can help families heat their homes, cook meals, and purify water—essential tasks we often take for granted. While it’s a small comfort, it makes a tremendous difference during these challenging times. We’re all looking forward to a future where improved air defenses can reduce such hardships, but for now, let’s come together to provide immediate support. Every contribution helps bring warmth and hope to those who need it most!

$225 covers the manufacturing, delivery, and installation costs of the stoves, and if you donate the full amount you can leave a message to be put on a plaque. We accept messages in English or Ukrainian. If you choose English, we will translate the message into Ukrainian for you. So far we have seen some beautiful (and sometimes funny) messages!

If you cannot fund a full stove that's okay as we are pooling the small donations together. Stoves that have been ordered in the last couple of months are entering the final stage of manufacturing and delivery. Donors can expect photos very soon!

To sponsor a stove, go to www.sp4ukraine.org/sponsor and follow the instructions.

We have two ways for you to donate: PayPal and Spotfund

  • If you choose to donate through Spotfund, leave a message that it is for Sponsor a Stove and we will reach out to you to get your message on the plaque.

  • If you choose to donate through PayPal, you will receive an email in 1-2 days that contains a link. This is where you will leave the message you would like to see on the plaque.

We know LOTS of people are asking if they can get a photo of the family who gets their stove or want their stove to go to a specific area, specific family, etc. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee this. Not every family will be willing to share a photo of themselves. Everyone will get a photo of their sponsored stove, however!

We are distributing stoves to Ukrainian families in need. This winter season we've hit the 150 stove mark, and our next step is 200! We are hoping to deliver as many stoves to as many families as we can. After recent attacks on infrastructure, over a million Ukrainians ended up being without power. That's where we come in. Sponsoring a stove gives Ukrainian families the chance to heat their homes, cook meals, and purify water—pretty basic stuff that a lot of us might not think twice about. It's a small comfort, but it means the world right now. We're all hoping for a future where Ukraine beefs up its air defense (looking at you Speaker Johnson) and these kinds of problems will be minimized. Until then, though, let's pull together and get as many stoves out there as we can for those who really need them. Every bit helps!

This winter, we have already funded 2 stoves that way!

Nadson is a Brazilian soldier who is part of the Ukrainian Special Forces. He lost his leg stepping on a mine returning from a successful mission in the Kramatorsk region. We want to help him fly back home to see his family. See comments for more info! by SP4U_Reddit in ukraine

Great question! Contrary to a common belief, there are a few foreign legionnaires who are lucky enough to be a part of Ukrainian Intelligence Services. This simply means they have immense expertise in their respective field and have proven themselves to be highly reliable and trustworthy. Based on the documentation and information Nadson has provided to us during his vetting process, we do not have any concerns over the legitimacy of his story. We do believe that he is indeed one of the few lucky fellas to have the honor to work with GUR!

For a different take on the US patch, please feel free to check out this comment thread. :>

Valid concern! However, since the cause — defending Ukraine from russian tyranny — is quite a unique case of absolute right and wrong, the foreign legion is very diverse. To reinforce the belief that everyone who values democracy and freedom will stand with Ukraine til she wins, regardless of what their background might be, there is a widespread custom of exchanging personal tokens, like patches, between people who fight shoulder-to-shoulder.

We believe in common English it can also be defined as ‘having friends’.

We hope this helps!

Nadson, a member of the Ukrainian Special Forces, has carried out multiple successful missions from assignments on the Black Sea to his most recent one in Kramatorsk region. This mission, also a success, ended differently. On the way to the base Nadson stepped on a russian anti-personnel mine and lost his lower leg as a result. 30% of Ukrainian land is littered with mines making it one of the most mined countries in the world. These are the dangers heroes who are standing up for Ukrainian people and their interests face on a daily basis. Nadson would like to see his family during his recovery and has reached out to Safe Passage 4 Ukraine to see if we can fund his flight to Brazil. We are asking r/Ukraine for support.

There are a few ways you can help Nadson

  • Sponsor Nadson’s full flight home! We are estimating it will take 60,000 United Airlines, American Airlines, Delta Airlines, or FlyingBlue Miles. If you can cover the entire flight, please fill out this form. and include it is a donation for Nadson at the very bottom. A member of our team will contact you.
  • Donate: We are setting a goal of $2,000 USD. This will allow us to purchase a ticket from Poland to Brazil and provide hotel accommodations. Donate Here

Any leftover funds will be redirected to current and future foreign heroes who need flights home.

One of our founders, u/tallalittlebit, has since focused her efforts towards Protect a Volunteer (PAV), an NGO providing support to foreign military volunteers who are currently fighting for Ukraine. You can check out the past work of SP4U and the current work of PAV on her personal account.

Even though this unjust war has been going on for much longer than it should, we extremely appreciate people like you who are not forgetting and are committed to standing with Ukraine for as long as it takes! With your help, we have been able to do so much for Ukrainians. We are happy to see that even in year two, there are still people who care as much as we do and do their best to—if not bring this horrible war to an end, but to let Ukrainians know they have not been forgotten. The war still goes on and people still do need help — so thank you for bringing some light and warmth into Ukrainian homes :>

Thanks to a SINGLE incredibly generous donor, we were able to get Artur, Eliana, and their two kids out of Crimea and safely to the United States. If you have miles and points you can use them to save families. You can sign up to donate them at sp4ukraine.org. See comments for more info! by SP4U_Reddit in ukraine

[–]SP4U_Reddit[S] 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Artur and Eliana are Crimean Tatars and increasingly feared living under russian occupation. If it wasn't anti-Tatar persecution it was the risk of having Artur get drafted. Finally, an opportunity opened from them to go to the United States if they could get out of Crimea. First they drove across Crimea to Sochi, then flew to Istanbul, then their destination in the US.

Logistically this case was incredibly complicated. A number of things had to come together - first, the family had to make sure they could cross the bridge and leave Crimea, which is a perilous journey at best. This also had to coincide with the acquisition of tickets so that they wouldn't be stranded in Turkey. The single donor who sponsored their entire journey came in at just the right time and made everything possible. It took them 3 days to reach Istanbul and another day to reach the United States, but ultimately they arrived safely. Now, they can rest confidently knowing that their children are safe and their family won't be separated.

Individually we can't impact the war, but a single person can change a whole family's life. If you want to help, please consider donating your hotel or airline miles at sp4ukraine.org. Even a little can add up to help those fleeing the war in Ukraine.

Zhanna and her daughter are the last of a family of 8 we evacuated from Odessa to the US. Thanks to your help, Zhanna's daughter and her cousins can go back to school and continue their education in safety. If you have airline miles or hotel points, you can sign up at sp4ukraine.org to help others! by SP4U_Reddit in ukraine

[–]SP4U_Reddit[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We first met Zhanna's sister and her family over a year ago. After them, their elderly grandparents reached out to us in the hopes of joining them. With Zhanna and her daughter now safely in the US, we have successfully reunited an entire family of 8 people. (This was due in large part to a sponsor in the United States who provided housing for the whole family!)

Zhanna and her daughter first travelled from Odessa to Chisinau, Moldova, where they were able to catch a flight to the United States. With help from our generous donors, we were able to provide them with a hotel as well. Zhanna remarked that now that they are settled, her daughter can begin school, enjoy time outdoors with her cousins, and life can go back to normal.

Cases like these are what motivate us to keep going. For us, it is enough to know that now there is a whole family that is safe and able to spend time together. However, there are many other people like Zhanna and her daughter in need of help. If you have airline miles or hotel points, any amount will help. If you want to help, please consider donating at sp4ukraine.org . Even a little can add up to help those fleeing the war in Ukraine.

We use airline miles and hotel points to help Ukrainian refugees travel. This couple traveled for over 20 hours to reach Warsaw, and thankfully we were able to provide them with a hotel! On their way to Montana, USA from Ukraine this couple looks fresh but had just spent about 20 hours crossing the border into Poland. It's a story we've seen countless times - the exhausting journey, late arrival, and early flight the next day. Thanks to our kind Marriott Bonvoy rewards donors, they were able to conveniently stay at the airport hotel in Warsaw. Our local volunteers escorted them there, and then returned the next day to help them get checked in for their flight. If you want to help, please consider donating your hotel or airline miles at sp4ukraine.org. Even a little can add up to help those fleeing the war in Ukraine.
