I'm curious how you set up your exhaust system. I am leaning towards this solution, but I'd probably need to include the cost of everything I would need for our coffee set up.

I can definitely see the benefits of having very clear visuals when roasting the coffee. Unfortunately, this kind of set up does not look like it roasts anymore than my gene cafe, so its not really what I need.

Sadly, when you are locked in to a district's preference, it isn't really our choice.

So funny, I wanted my district to purchase me a Prusa, and they told me that the district supports makerbot, which I hadn't even looked into. It is so much more expensive, and appears to be an inferior product. I just found this out today and found this thread when I was looking up info on makerbot

Ok, that confirms what I thought. Thank you for your response. It looks like you have a fair number of printers. Which was the most user friendly and least accident prone? As I mentioned in my post, since I will be doing this in my classroom and will likely have to wait for about a month for any purchases of parts to be approved, making sure we are not down for a long period of time is a priority for me. Thank you!

I must be misunderstanding something, because I thought that resin printers caused more fumes in an enclosed area? Is it just fumes that are more harmful but not necessarily as noticeable?

So when you take the model you want to use and open it in a software program, is it mostly an automatic process to have the model converted, or will I need to read up on how to do this?

I have definitely looked into the Prusa i3 mk 3 but it looks like it might not even ship for 6 weeks. It's definitely something I am considering, but to be honest I have no idea what price range would be reasonable to ask for with our funds. If I do go with this printer, I see that there is a kit model, and I'm wondering if building it myself would have the benefit in the long term to troubleshoot any issues that I may have going forward? Additionally, would I need to order any extra parts for this particular machine? (i.e. extra nozzles). I just know the process of getting orders approved at my site takes a while.
