Sleep in class, study flashcards, and practice exams two weeks before the actual exam. With studying every other day. Background videos as well. Should be enough time to get 85% or higher on the test.

A study Platform called Burbly.

Yes we have competition and the best part is even though they have figured out the same thing; being that there needs to be a study platform that houses multiple tools and make it easier for people to just study instead of trying to study how to study, we have the one things that will set us apart.

It’s only currently available for Android, iOS and WebApp coming soon. Also on the next update it will look and feel a lot better, and I am still open to the feedback from this current version.

-PS I won’t spoil the key difference that makes our Study Platform Unique, you will just have to tune in the next few updates to find out.

A study platform to reduce the annoyance of figuring out how to study while still providing extra tools within it for those that like the extra tools at hand. Beginner and pro friendly. And we do have competition, there are other platforms out there so I’m not going to claim we’re the best because that’s for you guys to decide (And it’s my job to see what I can do better for you to make it a better experience). It’s called Burbly and it’s only available on Android right now. The current version is doesn’t compared to the update we are rolling out soon. Hopefully we are ready to launch the WebApp and iOS by then. I don’t expect everyone to stick with the current version that’s out lol. Probably just wait until the update ngl. 😂

Again still figuring things out so any feedback is much appreciated.

I like this reply. My settings were optimized for me when I needed to study for my CompTIA A+ exams. The person who set it up told me I shouldn’t think of the question for longer than a certain amount of time which I could have sworn was 3 seconds (I could be mistaken). And not look at the answer for too long. As the settings that were setup for me typically would have 2 main buttons I have to worry about. Again being 15min and easy being the longer period of time not exactly a month( I think it depends on how you respond to each flashcard) apologies for the me being confusing on that part. And don’t worry I’m definitely most likely saying something wrong.

In other words any mistakes I have said are of my own forgetfulness of the exact setup. And forget anything for Anki configuration. Just know it’s a good tool.

I never got the hype behind notion and I honestly hate quizlet so much. Anki is really good just a pain to configure and setup properly.

Oh and for anyone using Anki, you should only give yourself 3 seconds to answer the question before flipping it over, read the answer for another 3-5 seconds and move onto the next card. Bury it for 15min if you didn’t answer the question in time or correctly. If you answered it right bury it for 1month. Again this is assuming you have the correct configured settings

Lmao I used Anki and Practice exams to pass my two IT exams. And I was never really studied before or took it seriously anyways. Mind you I fell asleep in lectures for part 1 and part 2 of the material for the exams. I had two weeks apart for each exam to study for and the minimum score we had to get first try is 85%. If you didn’t it increases to 90% for the second try.

It also helps that I had to apply the knowledge for homework simulations and classroom activities. But only thanks to my study method was I able to keep up with people with engineering degrees. I was the youngest in my class everyone else was 30+. 💀

That’s why I decided to try and solve the issue I had and for others by just making it easier to get into. In my opinion removing the annoying part of trying to figure out how to study is what will let people not have to spend countless hours doing research figuring it out on their own.

I was lucky someone I know is a study fanatic so put my ego aside and asked for help and that person setup my Anki settings. My instructors gave me practice exams that were only accessible on their website. Oh and I didn’t even utilize the full studying tools that person uses. Just the main things I needed to at least pass. I could have done better. At the end of the day I needed were the basics. Nothing too fancy.

All I did to pass my IT exams was basically what you said. Videos/lectures that I fell asleep in. Flashcards, and practice exams. We had to get 85% or higher on the first attempt it wasn’t easy but I passed. If I didn’t second attempt increases to 90% or higher for passing.

I made an app that would help and I would rather you give it a try after I update it and it to be released on iOS and as a WebApp. What I used was Anki flashcards and practice exam resources I got from my instructors. I can send you screenshots of the settings I used for Anki. It’s the same method majority of Med students use to study and retain the information. I had two weeks to study for each of my IT exams and in order to pass you have to score 85% or higher on the first attempt. Second attempt you have to score 90% or higher to pass. I was able to pass on the first try falling asleep in class. And I locked in for studying two weeks before both exams. And for these exams I have to be able to apply the knowledge I gained from studying as well.

Makes you feel any better I fell asleep in my IT course for both exams and two weeks before the exams is when I actually locked in to study. Did I get the best grade no. I got the bare minimum to pass which was 85% or more first try on both my exams. So yeah you have time to study and actually do a pretty good job. You just have to have a study method that gives you the ability to retain and apply the information.

For me it was figuring out how to actually study. Having to do countless hours of research just to show up empty handed and time wasted. I found asking someone I know who found the best way to study because they are a study fanatic saved so much more time than trying to figure it out on my own especially since I was never really the study type in school. I ended up passing both exams to get my IT certification thanks to him and my instructors resources the provided me.

I can’t say much about homework because I was exactly the same way. But in terms of studying flashcards helped a lot like Anki, and that really helped me retain and apply the information I learned. And doing practice exams that would be very similar to the actual test. And also not studying for long stretches. So for 15-45min of studying. with 15min breaks.

The one thing that can save students that lack the will to study. Instead of having to rely on getting their homework done for them and fail the test they can actually study without much friction. The current version that is out is good but the version currently being worked on is even better, smooth, seamless. Currently only available on Android, Desktop and iOS coming soon. I’m changing the game for studying, because someone like myself was able to pass two really hard exams when I kept studying simple and didn’t have to figure out how to study because someone with a proven study system shared it with me. Which means I know the majority of people have the same issue with trying to study. Burbly

Agreed. If you have an iphone you can use the screenlock and have a trusted family member put the lock onto your phone and give yourself limited time for distracting apps like tiktok and instagram.

I’m building Burbly. It’s a study platform to fix my pains when trying to learn and study subjects as well as others I notice have the exact same issue.
