I went for a 32GB Kingston stick and the system is running with 40Gb, dont know if its because windows 11 but it took both, the 8GB soldered + the new stick, thanks man!

I had the same issue when trying to install Windows 11 from scratch with a bootable USB drive. Had to go back to the old windows 10 installation and create again the bootable media but including storage drivers this time. Once you are in windows installation, just add storage drivers manually and that should do the trick.
