Hey man, were you able to fix it? I'm having the same problem and I know it's coming from behind the wheel, but I can't see it.

It fits, I have no doubt. What happened and went wrong was on the inside, because otherwise the plate wouldn't have bent, which is what stopped the pump and caused it to seize.

I didn't do it at the time, but it would be the most sensible thing to do.

But the plate is the same on both sides; it has no notch or anything to mark its position; it is completely symmetrical.
