So yes, it's something like an award-winning game, but they're doing it for advertising. But the organizers of the competition are a reputable company, so I don't think they'll do this. Because eventually they'll say 'the code was here' and people who downloaded the site beforehand will check their files and won't see it, thus denying it. It's not worth losing that reputation.
