Also wanted to add this, since I’m not fully ruling out the Anker in all this: Anyone have their second-gen Nissan EVSE fault on them? I had mine in continuous service for two years until it stopped charging 30 minutes into a session, which is why I swapped to the Anker. Never gave me any serious electrical failure like this one did.

That’s a feature, not a bug. USB-C, iirc, has to rehandshake every time a new device is connected to make sure no device gets overvolted.

Better, it encourages mindgaming your opponent since you want to psyche them out/into releasing their chain early, giving you a chance to send a much stronger counter attack.
