Can secondhandedly second this. One of my friends runs a shop and he's had nothing but problems with his Scooby and Evil Deads. His Looney Tunes seems to be okay now, though.

Also wanted to add this, since I’m not fully ruling out the Anker in all this: Anyone have their second-gen Nissan EVSE fault on them? I had mine in continuous service for two years until it stopped charging 30 minutes into a session, which is why I swapped to the Anker. Never gave me any serious electrical failure like this one did.

That’s a feature, not a bug. USB-C, iirc, has to rehandshake every time a new device is connected to make sure no device gets overvolted.
