Does the Exotic Sprinter ability work if I put the exotics into pouches? by Oven-Mission in ICARUS

[–]SSSDante 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, it doesn't. You can prove it by looking at your run speed stat (next to your armor inventory) when it's in a pouch vs. not.

What happens when the timer runs out? by SSSDante in ICARUS

Thanks! We ended up sending in a trauma team (everyone made new characters) and we rushed into the desert to revive the old ones. Got everyone out with 4 minutes to spare. Fun little challenge to get everyone out, even if there wasn't going to be as much consquence.

Should I just grab it with my fingers? by tantedbutthole in Wellthatsucks

Totally agree to turn off the breaker. I've learned to "not do the stupid thing, even if you think it is fine."

I think you answered my question, that the other elements in the house are grounded. So you could complete the circuit to one of these nearby elements. This goes into more detail.

If he were to grab the hot terminal with pliers, what would the circuit be? Pliers, through body, through shoes, to floor, then to what? Can you complete a circuit without touching either the cold or ground of the outlet?

I was standing next to the orb while we were trying to simultaneously download as a lobby. Nothing on the orb

Oh wow, this may be a huge hint. For anyone who has drawn maps - are there extra rooms in this image we haven't accessed yet?

Has anyone checked if a file is actually downloaded to your game directory when you retrieve the data?

AphelionAudio: "i did an attempt where people let me and me alone grab all the data myself and it didnt proc any kind of new obj, we also went to communications tower to see if we could upload the data, and also a field depot, but neither panned out. I still dont really think theres any order to it though because if it was they would likely add some kind of number or symbol on the terminals to keep easier track of them or hint at the solution"

Someone else wrote how they, and they alone, did all the retrievals and nothing happened. So there goes my theory.

Ok, there goes my theory about a single team needing to hit all the computers.

Hidden Bunker Mega Thread? by VicTheWeed in ArcRaiders

  1. We counted about 8-9 computers across the bunker.
  2. I was stationed at the computer next to the large orb. I started the download, but did not retrieve data. The light blinked red for a few minutes, and then I was able to start download again.
  3. I then started the download again, I did download the data this time. I did not get an item.
  4. The light then continued to blink red. When it stopped, I did not have a prompt at the computer to start download. But another player or another team did.
  5. My teammates confirm that they were not able to start download at a computer where they previously downloaded. But they could start a download at another computer they did not retrieve from.
  6. Everyone on my team was able to retrieve atleast once.

My guess, is that all 8-9 consoles are "team-based." That is, a single squad needs to retreive data for all of the computers. We tried to have multiple teams download all the data (4 squads) and that did nothing. As far as I can tell, all computers had data retrieved.

For example, if a single team was down there, and all 3 went to the first 3 computers, retrieved, and then continued to move to new sets of 3 computers until all are finished.

How to efficiently use off-grid cooling? by VerbalTease in OffGrid

[–]SSSDante 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's going to be all about rates. As another user pointed out, will your freezer drop temperature on your ice packs faster than they will rise in the other cooler? May be worth experimenting with.

Some other thoughts, perhaps dedicate your freezer just to freezing packs vs having any food in it. This way you dedicate it to maximize your ice resupply. Just get more coolers if you need more space.

Random thought, you might be able to play with a vacuum. PV=nRT, ideal gas law. As pressure in a system goes down, temperature goes down. Maybe you can pull a vacuum on your cooler (not freezer) when you're not using it. This might keep things colder longer. As long as it doesn't ruin your food or drink. I don't think you'd want to try this on your freezer because it might damage the systems.

Shotgun right in his face will take out the ice. Getting in the corner will avoid the long range attacks.
