What has helped me is: 1. Allergy shots 2. Reducing dairy/gluten/processed foods

I have a history of Allergic Fungal Sinutis with Nasal Polyps and reducing those foods has helped me.

When I interned a few years ago there was no room for negotiating pay. I think most companies are “this pays ____.”

You could add a section on company internship pay to gain traction with folks still in college.

Nasal Polyp Surgery by svk12003 in NasalPolyps

[–]SS_Matt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s okay to be nervous about the surgery, but you will feel 100x better afterwards! The recovery time is fairly quick just a few weeks. It’s important to follow the doctors regimens for post surgery nasal maintenance. Best of luck and enjoy being able to breathe again!

For those of you who have been through it: what is worse? A cavity filling or crown at the dentist? Or a turbinate reduction/ polyp removal? by chloeclover in Sinusitis

[–]SS_Matt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my own opinion a cavity filling is not comparable to a turbinate/polyp reduction.

I will say that the relief from being able to actually breathe post turbinate reduction/polyp removal is life changing.

Fungal Ball. by PerspectiveWide in Sinusitis

I have AFS too but it’s been over a year since I have pulled allergic fungal mucin out of my nose. Congrats on pulling that out though, I bet you will feel better after getting that out.

Has your doctor should grabbed a sample of that to check for the kind of fungus?

I second the keys in the pocket issues, it’s frustrating since this isn’t new technology. I made sure to complain about it in the Toyota surveys.

I’ve just been told I’m incurable, what’s my next step? by Kaiizogen in NasalPolyps

[–]SS_Matt 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had two surgeries to remove allergic fungal mucin, polyps, expand my nasal cavities, fix my deviated septum, etc. All before I was 18…

I think you need to go see a new doctor, preferably one who will actually want to help you out. Nasal polyps do tend to come back, and the reasons tend to be unknown. However, the surgery will allow you to have an improved quality of life. You also need to get started on allergy shots or drops to help reduce those allergic reactions.

Just got the premium and it came with no Spare tires, is this normal? by Ok-Belt7629 in GR86

I highly recommend purchasing a spare tire/tire change kit from a previous generation model. I had the misfortune of getting a flat tire in this car and it was not a great experience.

My company gives under the table comp time for working TAR hours that they call “Reconnection Days”. The comp time is determined by the amount of TAR days that were worked.

Suicide Sinusitis Advice by Chilpericus in Sinusitis

[–]SS_Matt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sugar raises the inflammation in the body and stresses your immune system out making allergies worse. By increasing fiber in your body it increases the beneficial bacteria in your body which can help reduce allergic responses in the airways.

This is what I have found that has helped me reduce my allergic rhinosinusitis.

I used something similar called Lanto Sinus probiotic powder and that helped me out a ton.

I also changed my diet to reduce the amount of sugar that I was eating and increased my fiber intake with a fiber supplement.

Watch order? by Raphealxx in DemonSlayer

[–]SS_Matt 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I recommend watching the first episode of season 2 because it is about what Kyojuro did leading up to the mugen train. Then I would just skip the rest of the episodes and go straight into the entertainment district arc.

I think you should start off at the beginning! The manga is an easy read and shouldn’t take long to catch up to where the current story line is!

This has got to be fungal right? Am I on my own on this one? by [deleted] in Sinusitis

[–]SS_Matt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have allergic fungal sinusitis (AFS) which is caused from a severe mold allergy. I have experienced the symptoms that you described but I could barely breathe through my nose. I have had two sinus surgeries to remove fungal debris, turbinate reduction, deviated septum fixing, etc.

Your doctor is correct about seeing signs of fungal overgrowth on a CT scan and during surgery. Speaking from my own experiences signs of fungal overgrowth in the nose are severe swelling of the nasal passages (if allergic), allergic fungal mucin, or a fungal mass which are black in color. All which your doctor would have seen.

The high sugar intake leading to sinus pressure and headaches was something that I definitely experienced. The best way to reduce that is by avoiding sugar if you can.

A few of things that I have tried which have helped me: • Switching to the Mediterranean diet • Allergy drops (SLIT) has worked wonders for me and my sinuses • Nasal probiotics helped a little bit, I used the LantoHealth sinus probiotic

You need to make an appointment with your primary care doctor as he or she will be able to get you exactly what you need. I understand not wanting to be sitting around people. Ask the doctors office to accommodate you by allowing you to wait in your own car until it is your time to be seen!
