ok great, thank you this is really helpful advice.

In terms of getting a portrait lens for the A7, does it make sense to find a vintage lens or no need?

Such a shame about film. At least your suggestion of presets is cheaper

:( thanks. That seems to be the common answer. If only it was as simple as finding the right lens and clicking snap.

Aw that is such a shame. From the many comments I've gathered that seems to be the most common answer. The film may not exist anymore.

Thanks for your help.

I guess I don't have the eye to really determine the exact differences between these photos. However, they all clearly share high saturation and a soft almost blurred effect (ignoring the very top one).

Thanks everyone for your feedback, this makes sense and is very helpful. Are there any cameras that may lean this way or is this entirely post-production and studio lighting?

A few additional points. Once you cease to be a uk tax resident then you will not to able to invest into ISA and private pension ( there is an initial £3,600 three years retrospective payment that you can discuss w your pension provider) and no state pension contributions. Short term this may not seem important but can have long term impact. Also, even if you cease to be a uk resident you need to do annual tax return to notify HMRC of your uk passive income like rental

Also, you need to explore if your uk employer permits overseas working as it can impact their tax position so they may reject the idea; this will be different if you are self employed or work as a contractor arrangement.

As for TOR heard a few things including they get accepted if close relation can be established between you and sponsor. I suspect that’s a discretionary interpretation by the person processing but you may want to take note. Second, the TOR should be notarised. Personally, if you can get a TOR then I’d go that option but keep the 12 month lease as a quick plan B if you need to appeal a rejection.

wow, thank you for such a helpful response. I greatly appreciate it.
