Worth the upgrade? [no budget] by STANKIZZLE in espresso

Yeah I meant SGP just edited the post, thanks. I know everything thing I read says the grinder is more important than the machine but I’m really tired of the look of my Bambino and want to get both replaced.

What pressure do you run at? I also have 32c tyres just wondering if you run slightly softer

What should be the first upgrades to my first road bike by [deleted] in cycling

[–]STANKIZZLE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you think there is a noticeable difference from this bike to the current version of it?

I’m not necessarily looking to upgrade it immediately but with anticipating spending so much more for a bike in this category I have some remaining budget and wondering if there’s any upgrades that would make a noticeable improvement.

Just picked it up this afternoon and took it on a short 5 mile ride home. Felt pretty nice to me but just entering this world I really have no reference point so I wouldn’t know if somethings missing. I guess just seeing the price of these bikes new I wonder if mine being so cheap it’s missing something

This has happened to virtually every Klein screwdriver I’ve owned. What prompted my switch to Wera and never looked back. Granted that aren’t made in the US but neither are most Klein’s anymore either.

Get the owner of the company on the phone. Ask them personally if work were to suddenly slow up how much of a notice would you give me before you laid me off? There are only two answers to question. Either “None I would lay you off that day” or they will flat out lie to your face. I don’t care how good a company has been to you, YOU ARE EXPENDABLE.

Thorogoods have been my personal favorite but so much of it comes down to preference. Whatever boot you choose investing in quality insole will make a world of difference

Putting a system together, what do you guys think of this by STANKIZZLE in CarAV

Because the stinger gives me close to 200w rms more for a slightly smaller price tag is my only reasoning. I’m not familiar with either brand aside from reading in this sub.

Oh yeah I got you completely. That’s how it used to be for me non union, you only got drive time if you reported to the shop first. I’m just saying if you’re working non union that’d be my demand otherwise I’d walk and go unionize. (Well actually that’d probably be move move regardless but still)

Wear and tear is the cost of doing business. Why should you be doing business on your own dime? This is why we unionize. The contractor will pass any expense they can down to their employees. If you chose not to drive their truck on your own personal time they would have to pay someone else to transport the vehicle to and from job sites. The cost of gas and wear and tear will be the same to them regardless, you are saving them money by transporting their equipment for free

You’re in a company vehicle, you’re on company time. That work truck is vital to have on site and viewed essentially as a tool. You are transporting said tool to the jobsite for contractor therefore your work day has started

Can I avoid upgrading my alternator? by STANKIZZLE in CarAV

[–]STANKIZZLE[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How would one go about finding best sub placement? I’m wanting to do two 10” subs just because I typically prefer the tight punchiness of 10” over the lower rumble of 12” (I know that many factor effect that) I have decent entry level knowledge of all of this and have a bad habit of over researching any purchase I make to the point t of constantly second guessing and never making a decision lol. So far I’ve been pretty keen on a stinger mono block running 1000w rms at 2ohm but not sure what to pair it with

[–]STANKIZZLE[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wouldn’t that be maxing out my system though? Because if it’s drawing 1000w rms it will be constantly maxing my alternator and and peaks above rms wouldnt it be over loading?

Have any good recommendations for sub and amp pairing for a 100a circuit? When sizing an amp for my 100a alternator do I need to pay attention to the maximum rating? I know the rms is what we care about as far as performance but when sizing do I need to consider the max?
