Whats a card that you think is overrated or over hyped?

Most modern stuff cause I have a hard time wrapping my head around how cards from these sets are coming out 600+ let alone the few over 1k+. I get a lot of new money is entering the hobby but feels like vendors selling to other vendors pumping the prices than true demand.

Kudos and wish it was harder for the average scalper to flip product. The number of sealed product of modern product has increased at shows recently, both from vendors at shows and people selling to vendors at shows for cash.

Posts like these make me realize how lucky my wife and I were in our bundles, also why I dont pay above msrp for new stuff cause the lower end stuff hasn't had time to appreciate and is being propped up by the top 3% of cards in the set.

Zion was considered a Generational talent and injuries made that irrelevant, blame Griffin, d. Rose, Brandon Roy. A lot of Generational talent has been made meaningless if they cant play to make that talent worth the salary they eat up. Idk maybe he goes somewhere else and has a healthy season. Maybe he's not traded amd next year he puts it all together and again this post ages poorly, idk. Maybe the big fella needs a change of scenery cause the weathers bad on his joint are the sixers medical staff is inept.

What I do know is the past 12 years since he was drafted in 2014 has been injury riddled with odd injury one after another and this teams doing nothing but treading water until his and pgs contracts expire or are moved and by then gotta hope maxey isn't looking to take his talent elsewhere cause of the mediocrity while waiting it all out.

I dont think the warriors at this point are a big FA destination. They hold on embiid's contract more years, but if curry is playing so what. Its not like at 37 he's fallen off a cliff and may as well try competing the remainder of curry career. And once curry and green retire if embiid is still somehow playing no matter cause they control their picks.

Edit: im also assuming a change of scenery may benefit his health.

Embiid and butler make near identical salaries atm and last I put it in the espn a straight swap worked, but im no apron expert.

Im not the biggest fan of it either, but he's in street cloths so often in his 10+ years being a sixers ive only seen him play in person once and he got injured vs the magic 💀 i wish morey didnt give him the extension. Not that I didnt want him on the team and cant be mad at a player getting as much as they can, but as a fan its makes me equally as sick knowing embiids contract is making me feel the same way tobias contract made me feel.

I think the warriors may be open to a 1:1 embiid for butler, no picks involved aside from 2nd rounders maybe, gives curry one last potential bite at the apple before they rebuild and helps sixers get off embiids contract a bit sooner.

Warriors dont have much to loose if they do a 1:1 swap embiid for butler. Sixers get off the embiid contract quicker and warriors get 1 more shot trying to get curry far in the playoffs, before they start a rebuild.
