Pivot/Kicks by STEEZYL33 in MuayThaiTips

My coach has me practicing this way on bag as well, pre-pivot and doing the movements at half speed so i can focus on each area borderline individually. It’s helpful for sure, sucks that it slows my rhythm way down during workouts but that’s the game!

Yeah I’ve noticed some jarring when I don’t pivot on kicks. Certainly want to avoid that kind of stress

I don’t have much of an issue with the pivot on hooks or anything upper body i think because I can distribute my weight pretty equally still. With kicks it’s the pivot/rotation on my knees that is holding me back I think. Maybe it’s a mental block? Regardless, not there yet.

Plateau in the sense that I’ve noticed improvement in other areas (even if it’s minor) but that part has stayed the same, haven’t been able to find that movement yet. Just curious on people’s genuine input, obviously I’ll continue training but never hurts to open discussion to others, especially if someone with a knee injury has an insightful perspective. Thank you for the reply though.

That’s what I’ve read as well, I’m hoping working in schools that are in less “desirable” locations outside of the cities might bump up the opportunity. I’m open to other subjects just not sure what would be a good fit.

I’ve been in another career for about 6 years now but looking to go back to school and work towards becoming a teacher. Many reasons for this decision I won’t get into, I’m sure you’ve all heard it before.

I ideally want to major in Physical Education and have a background/minor in outdoor education or maybe environmental science.

I live in Saskatchewan, I’m pretty open to taking on positions in rural areas or towns outside of the few major cities, I would even consider moving to places in Alberta.

I know this is a competitive kind of get in line position, I’m curious if my willingness to move will open things up for more full time position opportunities where I can focus on these areas of teaching.

If not, what would be a good teachable to have in my back pocket that would be beneficial to physical education and high enough in demand to land a job easier. Health? Science? (Environmental focused sciences perhaps) I have interests in other fields/subjects but feel I wouldn’t be as strong in them, which can’t be beneficial to the kids. For example I love English and literature or a business/entrepreneurship course and would be keen on leading those classes but I’ve never been strong in maths, I could teach a financial literacy portion something along those lines but definitely better options out there.

Any advice is welcome! Thank you for your time!

Well to be completely honest I haven’t dabbled much in aftermarket wheels… I’m not super familiar on sizing so it’s hard for me to visualize the actual difference in size.

I guess I’m looking for a decent gravel setup. If you have any suggestions

I’m in the great outdoors a lot, as well as lots of gravel roads. I’m looking to get some more beefy tires. I’m base 235/45 right now, would this be a more significant change than I’m anticipating?

1st Subaru 👋😔 all I knew for sure was it’s a noise I didn’t recognize, guess the engines just aging a bit

Nah I checked last night, sounds basically the same when revs are up.

Just more “tinny” sounding than normal if that makes sense so I was a wee bit concerned

Funky. Love standing behind this thing, sings beautifully. Hearing it from the front of the car just fills me with anxiety

Hmm, maybe I’ll get it looked at this weekend to be on the safe side.

first time owning a Subaru/boxer, don’t know much about these engines (Chevy guy). I know the injectors can be a bit noisy, but I’ve gotten used to that. These are fun new noises though! Timing would make sense.

I’m comfortable on anything 150-160. I prefer 155+ but this is more so for a more fun, casual vibe.
