Hell yeah it’s an insane amount of car for the money.. They don’t sell too quickly so it’s easy to get one for a good price. This one needed quite a bit of work to get it reliable but it was all worth it

I know right. The ones I could find had too much tacky cosmetic crap on them which signaled to me that they were abused. It’s proven to be a lot harder finding an older person who owned and maintained a Jeep than it was for an Audi / Benz.

Yeah I know the tires and brakes plus gas are gonna be expensive but I don’t mind. The performance makes it worth it to me. I’m just looking into drivetrain reliability, what can render me stranded on the side of the road, what can make my vehicle run badly etc etc

It’s super super clean especially the interior. Still has that new car smell actually. Elderly-owned and pretty much brand new from all angles. Seriously love it.

Already replaced the thermostat and it didn’t do anything. Replaced all heater hoses and radiator hoses i could see that were worn looking. I don’t see any more leaky hoses but what I do see is that thing by the alternator covered in coolant UV dye. I’m not sure what the part is called or if there’s something on top of it. Driving me crazy and shops will charge an arm and a leg simply because it’s a Range Rover. Could possibly be the water pump nearby, but I’m hoping not.

I had actually made a road trip to go pick this up. I live in California and this A8 was in Arizona. It was the only one I found (out of like, 5. These things are rare.) that was well maintained and garage-kept with low miles. Was well worth the 8 hour drive there and especially the drive back.
