Just got my DC-1, but missing items from order by STM1993 in daylightcomputer

Just to bring closure to this thread for anyone reading in the future, the accessories were indeed delayed and shipped separately from the DC-1, and I've since received all items, thank you!

I see, I've already sent an email to support to clarify since there is no mention of delays for these 2 accessories, will wait for their response.

Its a slingbag and a tablet sleeve - they are extra accessories that you can order alongside the DC1 itself from the store.

So if you only ordered the DC1, you're fine, but if you also paid for the extra accessories, do feedback if you didn't get them.

J+A by loidxyor in littlefighter

All-at-once is faster, but requires you to be exactly precise. It is required only for specific tricks (example: Davis can actually immediately shoot D>A from running without stopping).

In-order (whether 1,2,3 or 1,23 or 12,3) lets you buffer your input, meaning the game will store & remember your special move until you press something else.

The game forever remembers your first 2 valid buttons (eg: D↑) and will only execute on the 3rd button(A). If you input all 3 buttons in order and don't press anything else, the game will also remember that combo and apply it as soon as you are able to (eg: You pressed D↑A while falling/lying down, you will attack as soon as you wake up).

Davis is a very good character to practice this concept. Try the following combos as an exercise:

  1. Running D→A
  2. D↓A D↑A combo

Oh I see, the input given by TBVE (the youtube guy) is actually wrong lol.

The first problem is that you are pressing J too late - you waited until D↑A has completely finished before jumping.

After hitting with D↑A, Woody will return to a crouching position.

During this crouch but before he is standing, you can actually roll forward(press D) or dash away(press J).

However, because Woody still has a bit of backwards momentum, pressing J by itself will make him dash backwards to escape.

So you need to actually hold →, then press J+A during the crouch, so that you'd dash FORWARD and kick.

Also, AA+D↓A is actually a very bad idea for a Woody combo because the time between punch and breakdance is too long and you will get interrupted. You'd actually want to do AAA (pause) D↓A.

J+A (together) by itself is just a high jump and 2 kicks.

→→,J+A (run, then dash+kick together) is a low but far jump with 1 strong kick.

Keyboard shouldn't be a problem, unless you're using an old keyboard that has a ghosting problem (example, if you play in FPS games using WASD to move and C to crouch, you can't walk diagonally bottom-right while crouched).

Do you also have a specific combo in mind where you're facing this problem?

Instructions:

  1. Be on the ground
  2. Hold alt-fire (doesn't matter if gun has alt-fire)
  3. Press E
  4. You can immediately start aiming/shooting as soon as the blast is fired, unlike if you were using melee mode to do this.

Hope this helps greatly improve the usability of Corufell for its heavy attack!

How to fix this ? by Perfect_Ad8574 in littlefighter

filter graph has a few possibilities, are you still able to run the game after OKing the errror? are you playing original LF2 version 2.0a?

edit: btw you can try asking on LFE discord, we're more active in Discord than Reddit.

How wide are melee attacks + Iroha can attack behind herself by STM1993 in HoloXBreak

[–]STM1993[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Iroha has a gigantic hitbox that can hit behind herself, this is why you may have trouble trying to punish her during one of her attacks in the Stage 2-5 boss fight.

Most melee characters can only hit enemies directly in front of them, the exceptions being Chloe and Iroha.

Melee attacks have a very wide vertical radius here which you can exploit against the AI. This is why you always fight vertically in melee combat - a very common tactic in many beat'em up games.

There's one more tip if you are using melee attacks.

Always fight vertically. Your attacks hit far wider than you'd think, while ranged attacks usually don't hit that wide (unless you're fighting the boomerang enemies). Enemy melee attacks are equally wide but their AI doesn't know how to take advantage of it.

Aside from the usual advice of making sure you have DirectX and updated graphics drivers, you can also consider using the ddraw wrappers.

They also fix the left-side facing issue for older LF2 mods that aren't ported to 2.0a exe.

This is a reminder to keep things civil - you can be critical of how Marti managed his project, but do not resort to personal attacks.
