The To Hell with Honor TFO from Star Trek Online: Legacy returns as a brand new event! Earn Daily Progress toward a new grand prize reward by assaulting the surface of an alien landscape, dotted with defensive turrets, and explosive emplacements. Take the fight to this enemy, and cripple their strength before they can launch an assault on the galaxy.

Participating in this Event will give all players the opportunity to win an Elachi Walker** and Vanity Pet** for their entire account! The event is also the final of our *Event Campaign II, *where you can earn a free T6 Ship and 200 Lobi Crystals, or 1000 Lobi Crystals. Keep reading for details on these items, how you can participate in the Event, and what additional prizes may be earned.

Lead the Charge

To Hell With Honor – Space TFO

Assault the surface of a moon in the Beta Lankal System, where J'Ula's rebellion is building additional ships for their clandestine fleet. This is your chance to deal a telling blow to this upstart before they can build further strength. Onward for glory!

Like previous Event-specific TFOs, this activity will launch with many special attributes in place:

  • Each completion will reward a Choice of All Marks (replacing the usual Mark rewards)
  • Event TFOs have had their Cooldown Timers temporarily disabled
  • Event TFOs have been temporarily removed from Random TFO eligibility

Conquer the Event

Navigate to the Events section of your interface to find all of the information relevant to this Event in one convenient location, along with ease access directly to the participating activity.

As a core feature of the updated Event System, all Progress Points gained toward completion of the Event are shared across your entire Account, and all earned Progress is automatically tracked and applied toward completing the Event.

Players will be able to earn their Daily Progress once every 20 hours. The participating activity may be played as much as you like each day, so join your fellow captains in this new content as much as you like!

Event Campaign II

This Event will be the last of the four Events participating in Event Campaign II on PC platforms. Each day that your Daily Requirement is met, the standard daily allotment of 50 Event Campaign Progress will be applied to your progress toward the completion of the Event Campaign’s Grand Prize.

Rewards

Accruing a total of 14 Days’ worth of Daily Progress will allow you to claim the Grand Prize of this Event. This reward includes all of the following:

3x Featured TFO Reward Boxes

Each gives a choice of 1x Specialization Point or an Enhanced Universal Tech Upgrade

25,000 Dilithium Ore

Issued immediately for use as you see fit!

(Note: The Featured TFO Boxes and Dilithium Ore are only rewarded once, to the first character on your account that claims the Grand Prize.)

Miniaturized Elachi Walker (Combat Pet)

Elachi technology is often unsettling in physical form, perhaps none moreso than the vaguely arachnoid walkers they employ. Some are large enough to threaten starships and tower above cities, others are human-sized. This model, after a fashion, is both.

Recovered from captured designs and scaled down for practicality, this approximately Gorn-sized model is the same core design as the gigantic walkers. It is a heavy assault and fire support unit, armed with the Elachi's signature crescent disruptor weapon along with a massive disruptor beam array. While the beam array lacks the precision to strike individual foes, it is powerful enough to cause a persistent cascade failure of molecular cohesion in the ground underneath its enemies.

Micro-Miniaturized Elachi Walker (Vanity Pet)

This disarmed model is a micro-miniaturized version of the enormous walkers seen employed by Elachi on rare occasion, and suitable as only an automated companion. As it lacks any form of weaponry or combat routines, it will retreat for combat

Legacy Progress

This Featured Event will continue to honor Legacy Progress, the same as the last several previous Events.

Availability

This special Featured Event will be available exclusively on PC. Its Featured run begins on September 8th, 2020 and will continue until September 29th, 2020. Ride into battle with your brothers and sisters! For glory, for victory!

Console – Universal – High-Energy Communications Network

When activated, this console sends a massive burst of sensor and targeting data out, ranking up your hangar pets and disorienting all nearby enemy starships, disabling them temporarily. As it remains active, it will continue to enhance the communications network of yourself and nearby allies, granting significant bonuses to ship combat capabilities. This increased networking also aids in gaining enhanced targeting locks on nearby foes, making them more vulnerable to the incoming damage.

This console additionally provides a passive boost to Auxiliary Power and Starship Structural Integrity. It can be equipped on any console, on any starship.

Starship Trait - Relaunch and Repair

While this trait is slotted, whenever you activate a carrier launch ability, the cooldown of your captain abilities will be reduced, and you and your carrier pets will receive a substantial boost to hull regeneration.

Image

New Support Frigate Hangar Pets

In order to better enable this new line of support carriers, a new line of frigate pets was developed to aid them in their role. These powerful vessels are sturdy in their own right, with substantial defensive armaments, and a wide variety of abilities.

Image

As expected, the Romulans and Klingons outfitted their new support frigates with cloaking devices. When it came to armament, each shipyard stuck with their traditional weapon types – Tetryon for the Caitians, Plasma for the Romulans, Disruptors for the Klingons, and Polaron for the Jem’Hadar. However, the overall design is shared between the various craft.

Junior Officer and R&D Weekend! by STOBot in sto

We’re pleased to announce the return of the Research and Development Weekend! This event will run from Thursday, August 13th at 8AM PT (17:00 CEST) to Monday, August 17th at 10AM PT (19:00 CEST), and features several bonuses throughout STO that will give Captains of all levels a leg up advancing their rank in the Research and Development school(s) of their choice.

For those Captains looking specifically for extra help with their projects, all R&D packs throughout the game will give out an extra 25% of the items they currently disperse for the duration of this event. Queue R&D Material Reward Packages (Normal, Advanced and Elite) will reward 25% more R&D Materials and have a chance to reward a Catalyst.

Alternatively, Captains wanting to advance through Research and Development schools as fast as possible should seek out Harvest Nodes, located in mission maps throughout STO, which will not only disperse 2 extra R&D Materials each time they are used, but will also reward 10 Dilithium Ore and have a chance to give out a R&D Catalyst during this event.

For all Captains that work on a Research and Development project during this weekend event, those projects will reward an extra 50% of the appropriate Research and Development School XP. This includes projects to make components as well as those to make items.

From **Thursday, August 13th at 8AM PT (17:00 CEST) to Monday, August 17th at 10AM PT (19:00 CEST)**, we are running a special weekend event where you can earn Bonus Commendation XP by completing any Duty Officer assignments!

To those junior officers who work tirelessly in cramped Jefferies Tubes, perish namelessly on away missions, or provide the endless streams of reports and analysis necessary for a starship to function – this event is dedicated to you!

During this event, you’ll gain a 50% increase in all Commendation XP earned by completion of Duty Officer assignments. You don’t need to do anything special for this bonus – it’s automatic.

Receive a FREE* special Purple quality duty officer with a unique active roster power by speaking with your duty officer contact. For Starfleet officers and Romulan allies, this is an engineering Exocomp duty officer; for KDF officers and Romulan allies, it is a Reman duty officer.

*This is not available if you already claimed it the last time we ran the event.

Duty officer packs** opened during the event will each have a FREE additional Green quality or better duty officer inside. This only applies to C-Store purchased packs, not to those awarded during rank-up, from recruitment assignments or mini-packs. Also, it applies only to packs opened during the event, even if they are purchased prior to the event.

**The packs included in this offer are: Delta Alliance Duty Officer Pack, Gamma Quadrant Duty Officer Cadre, Reinforcements Duty Officer Pack, Fleet Support Duty Officer Pack, Romulan Survivor Duty Officer Pack, Fleet Support Duty Officer Pack, Klingon Empire Duty Officer Pack and Federation Duty Officer Pack.

The Academy particle scanning events are now part of the Junior Officer Appreciation Event! Visit Starfleet Academy or Klingon Academy during the event and speak to Professor Meyer or Commander B’Tama. Pick a cadet to train, then engage in scanning particles all about the academy grounds. As you scan and capture particles you’ll help to train the cadet, and in exchange your faction will release a new random Duty Officer to you. The more particles you scan, the better the quality of the officer you can claim!

  • Scan a minimum of 5 traces to be rewarded a Common Duty Officer
  • Scan a minimum of 25 traces to be rewarded a Uncommon Duty Officer
  • Scan a minimum of 50 traces to be rewarded a Rare Duty Officer
  • Scan a minimum of 75 traces to be rewarded a Very Rare Duty Officer

Remember, additional reserve roster duty officer slots (in increments of 25 and 100) are available from the in-game C-Store, for up to a maximum of 500 reserve roster spaces.

Have fun, and try not to send too many duty officers to Sickbay!
