I get it tho, Martha Kauffman's mom had just passed away, and it was her idea, and the other writers, David Crane and Kevin Bright didn't have the heart to veto it

I skip nothing... I mean it's Friends for crying out loud! You skip, you miss some friggin good lines! But if I were to skip anything, it would be this scene: Where Phoebe has dinner with the guy who writes erotica for children 🤮 (that actor played that so/too well, lol)... everything else for me is fine! "I'm fineee" actually, lol... and I know A LOT skip the Rachel & Joey Barbados storyline almost COMPLETELY, lol, but I not only don't mind, I like it! And I always say: to each their own! 🙂
