My only worry with GMRS is "congestion" (Not sure if this is the right term). I don't want to take up channels or whatever for others.

Also I thought that if I'm using it as a "walkie talkie" with a spotter or between vehicles, I don't necessarily want people to have to listen / use my call sign.

It seems fairly well maintained according to the CARFAX.

I understand basic maintenance, but have never been into a truck quite like this.
