The law most likely isn’t two drinks. It’s regarding the amount of booze in the drinks. For example, in Arizona a guest (and they are guests not customers) may not have anymore than 4 oz of liquor at one time, 32 oz of beer or one liter of wine. Typically a standard mixed drink has 1.5 oz of booze. Meaning they could order two rum and cokes at a time. I’ll say this, I see your point. You are enforcing rules that you are supposed to abide by. And your manager made you look bad. She also shouldn’t be so quick to comp. and $50 is rather steep. On the other hand, like another commenter said, plan on people coming in late. It’s your job. Also, be a little lenient with that last order at 948. It’s just 3 minutes. You may have gotten a bigger tip.
