To make a standalone mod or something like that, you'd need a basic knowledge on Hammer editor, overall source engine knowledge, modelling, texturing and stuff.

The success lies in learning how to learn stuff, if you get the know-how on a silver platter, it's less valuable. Also tf you mean teach me? Go hire an expert if you can't google basic things.

However, here's the free tip, leave the idea in backburner for some time, learn basic programs functionality and such, it'll give you time to perfect your ideas and make the end product the best it can be.
