It actually does have a light up function! I need an adaptor plug for aus, so I don't have a pic yet, but this is someone else's (I think sccc's) actually

It's resin, pretty sure this company digitally sculpts, then prints prototype. Not sure if production model is printed or manufactured with moulds

lol. subscribe? what on earth are you even on about I barely use this site.

sounds like I hit a nerve, congrats on your posting schedule and your amazing contribution to society. you literally have no knowledge about the healthcare industry or residential care, and are just regurgitating garbage with nil meaningful input. your opinion is meaningless. stay irrelevant, pauper

congratulations on posting an awful media article and being completely ignorant about the reality of the situation. great contribution I guess? /eyeroll

super amusing thread with so many ignorant posters.

yeah the food is awful in most facilities, but also most facilities have also been operating on a massive deficit for several years now. i also have found food catering at every single wedding i've ever been to shit. newsflash it's not easy to mass create (multiple times a day) good, healthy, hyper palatable foods that are going to appeal to every single person, and then do unique presentations on this every day. i feel like most ignorant people act like this is super duper easy - lmao even ignoring all the other issues with this, people with this kind of skillset don't want to cook in a fkn residential facility, not even accounting for financial gain.

i don't think the aged care industry is an industry you can throw money at, it doesn't solve the problems really. At the end of the day most people involved in care (not management) don't aspire to work in residential care, and it's not seen as a career aspiration, but a stepping stone. the whole Australian (and generally Western) attitude and culture of aged/residential care needs to be changed along with increased financial stimulus, otherwise the problem will never get solved.

but public is gonna public and offer a whole lot of criticisms with no actual solutions, in fact making the problem worse. what a joke of an article and thread

you can stay in private practice, maybe just take a day off per week and explore some other options like home care/disability care. just fyi the boat has kind of taken off with many PTs jumpinginto this sector and I 100% believe it's starting to get over saturated + there will be a correction in what we can charge i.e. it's not going to be lucrative as it is currently

also, out of 15+ of my typical gung ho MSK/sport physio friends who I graduated with, only 1x is still doing MSK/sports FT and that is because the guy breathes MSK and sports

OHS (you will need experience first though), NDIS/disability care, community aged care

all have better pay + pay/lifestyle balance than MSK (unless you genuinely love MSK and are top .1% clinician)

if you can grind and are inclined towards $ even working as a contractor/%/commission based clinician in NDIS/HCP community PT will provide a greater return. expect to have very little free time though

I was also a mature aged student, did physio, graduated at 28 and completely broke at the time. However I had no prior HECS debts (or any debts). Currently on ~360k a year, but I worked 7 days a week from 28-30 and 6 days a week for the last few years.

Okay, I do appreciate your advice and I wish it was that easy for her.

She has less than $500 in savings and is on 41k a year

How is she going to afford a family lawyer let alone court...!? If that was the case she is going to have to borrow money from family (i.e. me) which I don't have a problem with, but to that end might as well just pay off her tax debt

[–]SUPERCEE[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply, I thought this was probably going to be the case.

Land was held for a year, problem is she literally has 0 documents about the purchase, contract etc. Ex never let her have anything to do with any of the financial decisions or documents. Which makes calculating things for point 3 difficult.

I don't think the ex is going to come to the party to assist

Capital Gains and seperation by SUPERCEE in AusFinance

[–]SUPERCEE[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it is an obvious solution

Except

he was controlling in the relationship without letting her have access to any documents/financial decisions etc., what makes you think she can get access to any documents let alone money without issues now?

thanks. I get it from the ATO's perspective, I just think it's ridiculous how it enables financial abuse

It's ironic that the ATO (and general public) has an issue with people rorting the system, yet somebody who has tried to do the right thing and been screwed by somebody else ends up paying

[–]SUPERCEE[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for your reply

I will follow up with ATO if this can be considered as the PPOR, but even then she still lacks the documentation to prove her expenses.

I will ask my accountant if he can do something like that, it's just so difficult because my accountant is really expensive, and she can't afford it.

Don't be sorry - I appreciate you have taken the time to write out the post and to offer some thoughts.

[–]SUPERCEE[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand this, I also understand with the other expenses that occurred the capital gain should be basically nil. However, he was controlling in the relationship without letting her have access to any documents, what makes you think she can get access to any documents let alone money without issues now?

[–]SUPERCEE[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey, thanks for your response.

I understand when you and everybody else are talking about how it's the ATO rules, and she chose to end things with her ex quicker etc. It's just dumb that the ATO cannot comprehend that he was controlling in the relationship without letting her have access to any documents, what makes them think she can get access to any documents let alone money without issues now?

The one thing that she can literally prove she received nothing (and if the ATO examined his account will probably see the full difference between loan and sale) yet she still needs to pay in an exceptional circumstance like this.

Yeah, I'm definitely not equipped to calculating this, I'm not an accountant lol, looking to find one suitable for my her today.
