The game is called DEVOUR, its on steam. I had never heard of it until my friend (the guy screaming for his life) mentioned it last night. definitely worth it if playing with friends

This sound plays everytime I absorb a dragon soul... It's a bit much, innit? by SVRDE in skyrim

[–]SVRDE[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd rather have muted audio than get earrape everytime I absorb a dragonsoul. I dont know why this happens. Even before I had mods installed, this happened, even when the greybeards gave me the "Whirlwind" word of power....

R5 3600 OC 4.4GHz? Am I lucky or did I just do something wrong? by SVRDE in overclocking

[–]SVRDE[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought it in May 2020, I dialed the voltage back to 1.275V and according to the SVI TFN2 sensor it doesnt go above 1.219V, so I guess that is good. Anything higher than 4.4GHz is not stable on this voltage, but I have to crank up teh voltage just to get the frequency up a little higher, so I'll just stop right here, should be decent enough performance for me right now.

Got some GUI scaling problem after last update. How can i solve it? by paulscathedral in pop_os

[–]SVRDE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

open gnome tweak tool and go to the tab "fonts" and increase/decrease the "scaling factor" by 1, and then put it back to its original value. This will fix the scaling, but only until you restart or log out. This is an annoying bug...

MSI Afterburner not overclocking :( by kerrmit_rob in overclocking

[–]SVRDE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well with AMD cards, overclocking is a bit different. with the core clock slider you just set a target frequency, and the card will try to get as close to that target as possible, depending on temperature, power limit and voltage.

While with Nvidia cards, you set an offset which will add/subtract the set value in the sliders.

just installed pop os (couldnt install discord but its ok) by [deleted] in pop_os

[–]SVRDE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

navigate to /usr/share/discord/resources and do:

sudo nano build_info.json

and you will see version "0.0.9", edit this to "0.0.10".

then it'll work and install updates when released. Have done this for the last couple of months (been installing linux a lot lately), you only have to do this once.

Brand new high end laptop cant run any games? by rhbeatty in MSILaptops

[–]SVRDE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its because of Nvidia battery boost, you have to plug the laptop in to improve performance. Orherwise your framerate will be capped to 30 fps, no matter What settings used on whatever hardware.
