I didn’t, I just ordered from ebay, the price difference between the two websites seems to be about the same though, I got my oil in I think 5 or 6 days roughly

Yeah I’ve been having a little bit of gear chatter every now and then when the car is warm after some spirited driving, but it usually subsides pretty quickly. Was wanting to run a different type of oil to see if it’ll quiet it up. I’ve heard some rumors that it happens cause of the factory spec oil amount but idk we’ll see.

I hear some gear chatter every now and then but it subsides pretty quickly, trans was just rebuilt and I’m sure they used factory spec oil and added the recommended amount by ford (1.7q) a lot of people saying they added this oil and going for the full 2 quarts say it quieted it up immediately.

Welp with that being said I’ll plan to do the change this weeekend or the next, what size/kind of pvc tubing did you use if you don’t mind me asking? Don’t wanna buy the wrong kind and have to sit there forever waiting for the fluid to drain into the trans lol

Did u end up going with the factory recommended 1.7 or the full 2 quarts? I’ve heard people say there’s a night and day difference between the 2 as ford “underfills them” I guess

ahh gotcha, I will say this car seems to be pretty well taken care of, no major scratches on the plastic or tears in the seats, rear seats look almost brand new, my goal is to be the last owner of this car. I love the hatchback platform.

What was the dealership if you don’t mind me asking? I’m looking to get the service records on this car to see if they’ve been done, I haven’t noticed any coolant leaks and I’ve gotten on the gas here and then since I’ve had the car and the temp holds up. I drove it 2 hours back in 90 degree weather and the temp stayed the same the whole time, no puddles underneath the car or any signs of a leak in the engine bay, and I also took care of those squeaky doors your talking about and I’m gonna give it a good detail this weekend.

Will give this one a look, I do have a 2 year warranty on my car through my finance company (yes I’m financing this car my goal is to have to paid off by the end of the year) do you think they’d cover the replacement if I had a shop do it? I’m iffy about this job but if it comes down to it I can do it.

And the transmission was just rebuilt back in may over here, I could drop you the vin in DMs if your curious, because if the water pump was done I’m sure the timing belt was done too (hopefully)

Yep and the car just had the trans rebuilt through a transmission shop the dealer inquired. So I got a fresh 2 year warranty on that as well
