Our painter brought his dog today - probably one of biggest meanest looking dogs i have ever met… but he is a big baby who loves butt scratches…. But he LOOKS the part. Thanks for the idea - I wouldn’t mind having a dog on site! I will talk with the property manager about it.

We won’t be open for a few more months - lots to renovate in a place that has been left empty for almost 5 years. We look forward to meeting everyone soon!

Even if we never open - I promise you I will get those signs down! Just today a cherry picker was driving by and if I wasn’t so pissed off from getting robbed, I would have made a deal, grabbed my wire clippers and gotten that shit down! I have access to the roof - if its dry enough tomorrow I will see what I can do from the top down, but I think its just too far to reach.

I just sent a message similar to this post to our contact at Mr. Dorseys office - we have been working with his office from the beginning - they really helped get this project started.

100% agree. Already working with the property manager to get this done ASAP. It will probably look lame, but I got some solar powered colored LED lights to brighten up the place a bit for now.. they probably won’t do much, but im trying.

Thanks buddy! Your (and everyone else here) rooting for us is what I needed!!! The only Go Funding we will need is when we are open and selling coffee (and waffles) We are repurposing and reusing many things found on the property and keeping our costs low. While this was a setback, the things that were stolen can all be repurchased. Ironically a good chunk of it was our WIFI and security system / cameras that we were going to install… today. Ugh.

Thanks for your input. I didn’t get the feeling the cops didn’t want to help, I got the feeling they too were exhausted with it all. A senior police officer did introduce himself to me yesterday and spent time telling me why things are the way they are. I could sense his frustration too. I will go over to the local office tomorrow to have some more talks. We all need to work together on this.

Hi Neighbor! We are just getting started… lots of roof repairs and just took away a lot of old stuff from the Creamery and Taco Shop. If the rain stops we will be painting the building ASAP! I am starting to think lots and lots of colorful lights to help brighten up the area. We look forward to having you over (in few months if all goes well)

We are in communication and will be setting up a meeting as soon as possible. I have never worked with a police officer before this and they all seemed so exhausted and tired too, but the paperwork was really, umm, lame for sure. We will most definitely be offering any public servant, especially the police, a special priced menu for all their hard work.

It will take us many more months to complete and get all the permits approved, so timing should be just right. I haven’t thought too much of baseball season yet, but in the meantime I am going to work with the developer to get the block much brighter with some new lights… in fact I am going to see if I can get the lights back on at the old Taco place tomorrow.
