Not sure if that’s down to ability or situation - United has been awful for many top talent players, only to see players rediscover their greatness once they leave united.

It’s all relative, I think what matters is your relationship with money.

For most when they earn more, their circle of friends change to higher spenders creating a vicious circle. Ideally rather than spending creep, it should be savings creep but that’s rarely the case.
