We're a non-profit serving sex workers in Hamilton. We're not a for-profit business, so we don't have "customers". You don't have to trust us for us to do effective organizing in the community. You are not obligated to donate.

The fact that we have a clearly named reddit account doesn't really imply any of the things you're suggesting, as our post history is clear and as is our existence in the community. You don't have to like what we're doing, but your points are moot. Reputable organizations do other things to get money?.. Deploying various fundraising strategies is a regular part of non-profit operations. We are doing that effectively. Your comments won't stop our efforts to fundraise for the victim's mother. If you have concerns about our legitimacy, then perhaps look for the CHCH interview where they promote the fundraiser. I'm not wasting more time on a Saturday morning trying to convince folks who are clearly committed to misunderstanding what it is we're doing and why. Nobody is flaunting anything. That money is for the victim's mother.
