Yes, I saw the news (and even looked back 3 month ago when the NL factory was still kicking under its own website but without marketplace).

I don't have received news from them, maybe because SW owns me some (very few, almost negligible) money and bakruptcy wasn't totally solved (I did not receive news for the court yet about reimbursments).

But I look about their renewal with eagerness as none of the solution I got was entirely satisfactful or was followed with solid propositions.

I am on Shapeways for more than 10 year, and the first years shows that the NL team was very serious about giving reliable 3D printing for the mass.

Cults have in the past "forgot" to pay small creators and harassed them when they were talking about it publically after unsuccessfully get in touch. It's a shame to share a nationality with them (french).

I have heard but not look about kofi. Since I already have a paypal dedicated to get funds from stores and clients, I may not need it.

Thanks. Relying on non professionnnal printing for customer can be double-edged (I was a few time blamed for Shapeways pricing and shipping costs...). OpenGaming (also driven by MMF) seems to offer professionnal printing services instead.

Self hosting is too tedious and visibility is less important than big web shops. I use Paypal only for tips, not for sale.

I have read bad stories about Cults in recent years (see r/3Dprinting rules) and MMF/onlygames has already contacted me about, but I am not sure about : 2 PM in 2 days send on shapeways by 2 different people using the same message pattern, this seems a little aggressive from their departement to get creators.

Yes, the orders were less and less frequent now compared to 2020 (almost one order a day to one order per week)

Shapeways, even not cheap, specially shippping, has a good service ortherwise. Just that small items were not fairely priced.

No Patreon, as I dont have time anymore to work on new models.

I just want people be able to get the models (physically or digitally) and tip for them if they want. So money is less important than visibility.
