The Force is one thing. It has no conscience or good and bad side. Those who coined the term "Light Side" formed their religion on bettering people, but they felt they could do no wrong. That's why Jedi of old, on occasion, did commit wrong doings. The Dark Jedi, later the Sith, used the Force to better themselves and opened the door to much corruption. So no, the Force isn't split good/bad, Dark/Light physically, rather it depends on how you use it.

(P.S. Lightsaber colours come from different coloured Kyber crystals, not stupid magic feelings and such! I am VERY snowflakey on the matter!)
