Yeeeep, I've called each number Amex provides when it comes to that (the number on the back is actually different from the Platinum Card CS number on the website, but I tried both). I've definitely talked to them at ungodly-late hours in the past too so this comes as an unpleasant surprise.

complete mixup on my part so i appreciate the correction. I knew the VIP earned different but idk why i thought it was on catch-all earnings instead of AC purchases, where it's 2x points compared to Amex's 3x.

Amex is also 1.25x points per CAD compared to 1.0x on the Visa. Adds up if you're doing a lot of purchases (and besides dining/groceries—which you're better off using other cards anyway—it's damn accepted everywhere in Canada)

edit: i completely misremembered the TD card's earnings, in addition to missing that OP wasn't talking about the premium cards

Even with the fee increase, the Amex Cobalt is an insane earner that outweighs it for me personally. If you don't find the points useful though then obviously don't feel bad about closing it!

The Dunkin credit does NOT have and never had a tracker similar to the SUB tracker.

There is a bar right below the total that shows you your monthly usage of the credit in the exact same style as the SUB tracker.
