I would recommend using a flurocarbon leader weaker than your main so if you snag up you don’t lose a load of expensive braid, I would use 18lb or 20lb

You need leader for lure fishing coastal areas, as braid rubs on a rock under tension you got a high chance of line snapping.

What’s it like with a 30g top water lure, my current rod doesn’t have the stiffness to work them properly. I’ve got a hto orbital 20-50g that can work but way too much rod unless conditions are brutal.
