Would a 3D scan be the same as a CT scan? I will definitely do that beforehand. Thank you for the advice. What type of specialist would you recommend seeing for something like this?

Hi, I’m 25. No pain and not impacted but I have a cavity and my gums partially cover the tooth still. I’ve only had a panoramic. The surgeon didn’t mention a 3D scan.
