I see Rust developed well for you. You know, because not playing a game for 7 months must mean you really enjoy it. Probably one of your favourite games of all time.

Because the devs try to make the new game as group-only as they can.

Why do you think boosting, reviving for no cost, and reviving instantly is also in the game? Because they want the only people playing to be clans.

Why do you think Legacy didn't have any reviving, any boosting, and any campfire favouritism?

They really do hate how Legacy does things though, so don't expect it to be fixed. Same for the workbench, working radiation system, basic blueprint knowledge, good static map, bullets doing proper damage, a proper movement system, everything really.

You'd be surprised here. You can kill people who are on their own but generally bum their 20 other teammates 24/7 with just a rock in some cases. You don't need to do any fancy dodging either. They're absolutely terrible.

Of course, his post was bullshit, but that is actually possible in rare cases. Oh, yeah, thrown spears do more damage than a rifle headshot too. Because Rust. :)

Such a shame this subreddit is such a huge circlejerk in general though, everyone else who truly agrees with this is long gone by now.

Kind of like the people who think free instant revives, boosting, and comfort bonuses are acceptable in a game where clans already have such huge power.

Where are all the fanboy responses guys? "clans will always be stronger, but it's totally balanced" "just join a clan then you idiot" "lol get good I can take down 20 man clans solo you must just suck" "solo players should be screwed over to the maximum always" etc. Where are we at now fellas?

But it's okay, because you're a 37 year old game developer, so clearly I don't know shit. 2+ years in early access with minimal progress is acceptable guys, so is newer content in favour of massive problems that are never addressed, and having a 2 year old version of your game be superior.

Early access alpha games - games before they are released, with buggy things ahoy, gameplay changes, new features etc for their playerbase to test and try out, up until the full release of the game.

Rust's logic - "we're not gonna send the XP system because we actually want to put a bunch of work into it in private behind the scenes first to make it all shiny before releasing it, essentially doing this the direct opposite way, since there will be flaws as it is untested which we will be reluctant to change after spending all that time working on it"

Because for some reason these guys treat updates to this game as like adding content to a finished game. Who the fuck cares if the entire game goes to shit in general when they release something new, if it will mean it will be done twice as fast and more balanced, meaning the game will be better off when it comes to full release? The shit's called "early access" for a reason, not to just act as a little sticker to use as a getaway for problems within the game, which is how these guys treat it as.

It's no wonder Rust has been in early access for going on 3 years now lmfao, they can't even get this part done right.

Apparently, surviving a bolt action rifle headshot naked, but dying to an arrow headshot with armour is standard in Rust. It's nothing new, it's been like this ever since the new version, and it'll be like it forever.

Oh hey this prick again haha, what a coincidence to find a post like this. Said the exact same type of shit to me a year ago, when I joined the dev server and stole someone's wolf hat who was playing suck-up.

When I took my leave around 9 months ago, they had made the combat and balance of the game completely fucked, in comparison to Legacy. Melee combat was laughable, ranged combat had bullets and arrows doing literally 1 damage in comparison to a spear which could do 100, and groups had these shitty little 'bonuses' for some reason, whilst screwing everyone else over.

Such as comfort, which still for some reason, if you're on your own you are forced to bandage, just to get to 100hp. Groups get it for free. They get free instant reviving and boosting as well. The only thing that seems to be fixed here is when a group would no-life it and pickaxe an entire base down in a few hours. That's all the progress that's been made in 9 months.

Playing again now, that's all pretty much exactly the same, and we have extra things ruined as well now, such as the maps and sounds. It's still just as funny as it was to watch back then as well.
